There are many different microphones that work well with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. The Andrea NC-91 headset that comes with Professional, Medical, or Legal works OK in a quiet environment if you have a good sound card on your PC. But typically a better microphone results in better accuracy. There is no "BEST" microphone. Your voice, how you use the microphone, your environment, and your PC are a few of the variables that determine what is a good microphone for you. |

I agree with Paul but I definitely have a favorite microphone. The Dictaphone Power Mic II is pretty amazing, being able to program the buttons however I like really saves me alot of time. - GentechBH 8/12/2010 9:18:15 AM | FlagAgreed. And of the handhelds, the PowerMic has one of the better noise-canceling capacities. The Philips SpeechMike shares with the PowerMic the ability to program buttons to perform tasks like moving to the next field, tabbing in an EMR, etc., but the PowerMic offers one thing that the SpeechMike does not: the ability to program a custom command (one YOU wrote) to a button. - voxscripta 9/21/2010 5:03:37 PM | FlagI agree with the above contributors as well but prefer the new SpeechMike III from Philips with the Control Application software. This product is a perfect fit for Dragon Medical installations.Henry Majoue - www.voiceautomated.com more on SpeechMike III here http://store.voiceautomated.com/hardware/wired-headsets-microphones-2/philips-speechmike-iii-usb-lfh3200-push-button-model.html - VoiceAutomated 3/28/2011 4:33:46 PM | Flag |
