Unless there are some major benefits with Dragon, it seems to be a waste of money...

The built in voice program is adequate for low level/ocassional use. A tinker toy, but fun and with enough time and effort can be almost accurate.....

Dragon is a tool for serious professionals who need a powertool for dictation and is very accurate out of the box with a good mic and voice enrollment (5 minutes, not 5 hours....)

Try it, then try Dragon Premium or Pro software; 'the experience speaks for itself'.-ed.    -    edwardatngtinc 8/21/2010 6:13:04 AM | Flag

pros

  • Highly accurate (most reviewers agree that 97% is realistic)
  • Streamlined, natural language editing and system commands
  • Integrates with office software
  • Works with portable voice recorders
cons
  • Needs a lot of computer space
  • Expensive
  • Tech support isn't free after 90 days

hope this helps

I've heard it's the best way to go    -    keith 6/9/2010 4:23:31 PM | Flag
