Description

+10 Registering You get points just for registering. Now, wasn't that easy!
+10 Asking a question Every question you post helps the community. So guess what? You earn points.
+5 Answering a question Post an answer and watch your score rise.
+5 Being voted up Someone in the community thought your answer deserved their vote so you get a reward.
+15 Being the best answer The author of any question has the power to deem your answer as the best and also to bestow some serious points on you. Just a little incentive to get great answers. (If a better answer comes along, you still get to keep your points even if you lose bragging rights about being the best answer.)
+30 Flagging as inappropriate If you flag something as inappropriate and the moderator agrees with you, you get your 20 points back (see below) plus another 10 points for being a good little snitch.
+1 Getting a comment Someone makes a comment under one of your answers -- we like things that get people involved -- so you get 1 point.
+10 Inviting a friend Invite a friend, earn 10 points when they register. (Don't worry, we never sell or display or otherwise abuse your friends' emails.)
+1 Uploading a picture "A picture is worth 1000 words." (And 1 point on DictationNation.org!) A real photo of yourself would be great (though not mandatory) because it adds personableness to your profile.
+25 Linking to our site Link to our site from your website or blog and earn 25 points. Contact us so we can verify the link is up and you'll get the points.

-10 Voting down If you think an answer is worthy of sinking to the bottom, you can give it a little "help" by voting it down. But it will cost you.
-20 Flagging as inappropriate We don't want people to be malicious so flagging something as inappropriate is not cheap. But if the moderator agrees with you, you'll get your 20 points back plus a 10-point bonus (see above).
